“The Homecoming” is an Afro-futuristic, socially conscious episodic series with a mix of science fiction and supernatural elements. 
 
Set in Atlanta, GA in 2019 and inspired by shows such as Lovecraft Country, ‘V’, Stranger Things; as well as the fiction writings of Octavia Butler.
 
It embodies the intersection of the supernatural with the specter of racism and White supremacy found in Lovecraft Country alongside the themes of xenophobia, racial tyranny and psychological slavery evident in Octavia Butler’s science fiction novels.

“The Homecoming” follows Henry Smitherman, a descendant of a favored lineage, who is activated. He will embark on a harrowing journey to awaken other sleepers and evoke a world-wide movement.
